Kimonti Carter is the former presidentand current Resource & Equity Director of the Black Prisoners’ CaucusCommunity Group. In 2013, Kimonti founded BPC TEACH (Taking Educationand Creating History), a remarkable Liberation Education program, designed toeliminate the barriers to educational spaces for men and women serving longsentences, and undocumented residents. Kimonti is alsothe "Spine" of an award-winning documentary "Since IBeen Down". He is currently living in Seattle, Washington where he isa Community Advocate, and peer navigator, educator, public speaker,Curriculum designer and APDS (American Prison & Data Services) consultant.
